Some of the things I've learnt through my work this year, and I guess I should put it down in case my memory fails me again.
One of the things I've learnt is to maximise resources. Many times, I don't sit down to think about maximising whatever I have. I guess this is due to being complacent and not to mention, laziness. I guess in whatever I do, I have to try to find ways so as to get the most out of what I have. In fact, come to think about it, it's something we should do every time. So, let's just hope that I will be more aware of this and not waste my resources.

The talented one...
It's amazing! Fancy able to sing so well at such a young age. I believe many kids like to sing and dance, but why is it that many grow up to dislike singing and dancing? Are we, adults, responsible for it? Just wondering...

Creativity
Creativity.... what are we doing to nature creativity in kids? Many schools are not doing enough to nature creativity in kids. I do agree to a certain extend. Schools in Singapore are very focused in academic pursue and very often, creativity is not nature. For one, time is limited to cover the vast number of topics and thus, time is limited to nature creativity.
Enough of talks about schools... how about adults, parents? It seems that we often impose our views/thoughts on kids, instead of letting them do what they want. One day, while my son was playing with lego, he made a car and held it up with his hands, imaging it to fly. The first thing that came to my mind was that a car is meant to travel on the road, not in the air, and I immediately told him, "No... you cannot do that as a car cannot fly."
Now, why can't a car fly? Yes, it cannot fly now, but who says it cannot in time to come? In a sense, by telling him that a car cannot fly, am I limiting his ability to dream, and to be creativity? We let what we know about our world restrict our ability to be creativity. So, instead of telling our kids, I feel that we should just let them imagine.... whatever they think is possible (to them).

A new beginning
Dear all,
Welcome to a new chapter in my life. After much thinking and comtempleting, I've decided to start a blog as well. Reason is simple... I'm getting old and my memory fails me very often these days. If I don't start recording my (weird) thoughts, I don't think I will remember any of them in a few years' time. So, here I am, writing my very first posting. Hopefully, more of it will come...
